Messier Challenge
This journey is an attempt to capture all 110 deep-sky objects (DSOs) associated with French astronomer Charles Messier's Catalogue of Nebulae and Star Clusters (Catalogue des Nébuleuses et des Amas d’Étoiles, 1784). Messier had catalogued 103 DSOs. The remaining 7 were to be discovered and catalogued by other astronomers later, with the final DSO entered in 1967.
